This unusual piece is from the Southern Abelam area known as the Wosera. It has an ancestral face surmounting a naturally carved post. The face has a strong nose, remains of red pigments, well formed ears and a straight, rather prim, mouth. The figure has an aged dark patina, is 19" in height, dates to the 1930/40s and sells for $1200. Questions?
