This is a large and old Abelam male figure. The figure has a robust build with a thick torso, round belly and chunky thighs and calves. Like all old Abelam figures the nose is pierced, it is carved from a hardwood and the reverse has been hollowed out—the sculpture dates to the 1930s. The piece has faint remains of red, white, black and yellow pigments, it stands 77" in height and the price is available upon request. Questions?
