This is a very rare Biwat culture flute mask from the Yuat River area. It has the classic face of the iconic Wusear figurative flute stoppers with distinct eyebrows, inset crescent pearl shell eyes, a prominent nose and toothy grin. There are remains of red pigments, feathers above its right eye and numerous perforations around the perimeter. The patina is dark brown and aged. The piece dates to the 1920/30s, is 10 ¾” (27.3 cm) in height and the price is available upon request. Questions?
